Dear beloved Plants vs Zombies fans…. Can you just guess what I just found in one of a toy shops in a mall in Samarinda city? This is it (Farah Quinn style)…

It's The Plants!!!!

Tadaaaaaa!!!! Yeppp,, it’s the doll version of the Plants in Plants vs Zombies game!! I just found them when me & my boyfie walked into the “Gama (Galeri Mainan)” shop. Haven’t decided yet whether to buy it or not,, but maybe I’ll come back later and buy one of the pea shooters, then plant it in my own yard to kill the zombies (if any)… Wkwkwkwkwk… I wish I had a nephew or niece so I have a strong reason to buy all of those dolls. Coz if I buy them all just for myself, I kinda feel a bit silly.. Besides, there’s no space in my small kosan room to keep those dolls. Or maybe, I’ll just pretend that I have a nephew or niece, I buy those dolls for my ‘unborn’ nephew/niece, then when I finally have one, I’ll give those dolls to them.. Or maybe to my own future baby (wewwww…),, akakakakak….

Everything Happens For A Reason…

You ever heard that “everything happens for a reason”, right? Everything happens for a reason. EVERY THING.. So, doesn’t it make you wonder? Coz it makes me wonder everyday. For example, why am I being here? Being far away from my home? Why haven’t I met the one yet? While I’m almost desperately searching for the one? Why am I placed in the place the doesn’t fit me a lot? While God should’ve known better place for me? Coz I don’t feel that I belong here..

Those why’s are too much to count for me. And why can’t we find the answers of those questions? I think, because we’re humans. We don’t create this world with its life. God did it. I’ve been in the position where I once blamed God for what once happened to me. I’m not very proud of what I was that time. But something made me realised that I shouldn’t have done that. We’re just humans. Yes, we do have brain, but our brain intelligence is not smart enough to answer all those why’s, to understand the life.

So, what we can do as human, when we feel all those desperation? I only did two things for that. One, have a faith that every thing does happen for a reason. A good reason, certainly. And two, pray everyday to God, to show me the way and clue so I don’t get lost and lose my faith in God…

The missing moments

The saddest part of living far away from home and your friends is that you cannot attend some or many good moments of togetherness. For example, your best friend’s wedding. When one of your best friends gives announcement or invitation of his/her wedding, and ask you to be there too, but you cannot just across the ocean suddenly and leave your job in your current place.. Well, I know exactly how it feels. You’ll greet her/him, say you’re deeply sorry you can’t be there, and wish her/him happiness. And then, when the pictures of the wedding are uploaded on facebook or bb, you’ll say like this in your heart, “Awww,, I wish I were there too”. I don’t know how many that kind of moments I’ve missed. Maybe close to ten.

Sure, you cannot do anything about this, unless you have doraemon’s magic door, hahahah. You can still meet your friends when you get back to your hometown, anyway. So, when that ‘you-cannot-attend-your-best-friend-wedding’ moment comes, you can only wish that God will change all the good moments you’ve missed to see, in the future.

I heart Monday

One of the most popular diseases that people have in the beginning of the week is the “I hate Monday” disease. Me? Well, I was the loyal patient of that disease. Every time Monday came, I usually felt “awww nooo.. It’s Monday agaaaiinnn…”, then I’d get up and went to the office very lazily. However, recently, for the last two weeks, I didn’t feel it. Yeay!

Now I figured out a way how not to hate Monday. So, in order to love Monday, one of the ways is wearing or using or putting something new on yourself! Wearing something new usually makes us feel brand new and full of spirit, right? hehe… Last Monday, I, for the first time, used lightening day cream of Natasha product. And this Monday, I wore my new clothes and put some creative works with it, then voila! Brand new outfit… He he he… Well, don’t need to buy something new every Monday then, just looking differently every Monday, I think, will work..

Let’s go to hell…

Almost like ide gw utk membangun sebuah restoran dgn nama “Terserah” (spy ketika org nanya “mw mkn dmn?”, lalu biasany hampir selalu munculnya jawaban “terserah”, sehingga pergilah mereka ke restoran gw “Terserah”), tonight we also invented another new name for a place. We had an idea to build a place (could be restaurant/hotel/anything) named “Hell” alias “Neraka”.

Have you ever wondered, kalau ad suatu tempat yg menggunakan nama “paradise” alias “surga”, kenapa gak ada tempat yg menggunakan nama “hell” atau “neraka”? Semua orang memang INGIN pergi ke surga,, tapi semua orang mau gak mau PASTI ke neraka kan? Jd mau gak mau orang2 ya pasti ke tempat yg bernama “neraka”, dan belum tentu bisa pergi ke tempat yg bernama “paradise”. Yes??? Yeeeessshhhhh.. We are genius..

My Confession…

I want to make a confession.. On my last flight, from Jakarta to Balikpapan.. About 10 minutes before landing, I kinda may have damaged one of the plane’s properties.. You know the headset provided for every passenger in every seat, yes? Yyyeeaaahhh,, I may have pulled the cable a little bit too hard when it was stuck between the seat and its handle. Well, I had no idea, I just pulled it and suddenly the cable snapped into two.. And I didn’t have time to feel surprised nor panic, since at that time, my ears had been troubled by high pressure in the plane and caused pain in my ears and head. Usually the pain only lasts a few seconds, but that time, no, it lasted until 5-10 minutes that made me cry for the pain. Very unlike usual..

So, what did I do to the broken headset cable? Tell sorry to one of stewardess ? Ha3, noo, I just put the headset back to its place where I took it (dudududu…), and told nobody, only to one of my friends when I had already been in a car, on the way to Samarinda. Ooops.. Sorry, GIA, maybe it’s also the price you must pay for making me missed the check-in (while I could’ve checked-in on time!! Grrr…) that made me reschedule to the next flight and paid 300K rupiahs more for it.. Although I don’t think your one headset costs 300K rupiahs, but less than that.. :p

Speaking of, I think in check-in area of Soetta airport, terminal 2F specifically, there must be visual display in every line/counter which shows open & close time of check-in time, so we can identify directly whether we’re late for check-in or not. Just like in Sepinggan (Balikpapan) international airport. Sometimes we don’t realize, right? We just wait in the queue line..

The Lost Symbol

A friend of mine (let’s call him as HK) mentioned my name in his tweet tonight, made me realize that i haven’t written yet about the last Dan Brown’s novel I bought and read. Well, as we know, the last novel Dan Brown wrote until today is The Lost Symbol. This novel has been published months before actually, but I had no chance to buy (or borrow) it, until one day, in the best-looking Gramedia book store i’ve ever visited (in Grand Indonesia, of course) i found that the English version of The Last Symbol is cheaper and lighter than the Indonesia version one. So, wow, HK and I were surprised, since usually the English version is more expensive, then I decided to buy it, while HK decided to borrow the book from me after I read it (kekekek..).

As other four previous novels, this book also made the readers stun with the brand new technology and all ancient histories. Is there a ‘but’? Yes, there is. I agree with what HK said in his tweet to me today. That the ending of this novel is a bit anticlimatic. Seeing the plot and the story, I have expected a ‘wow’, but turned out I ended with ‘what?’ and “huh, that’s it?”. And here comes another ‘but’.. But at least there’s one part of the endings in this book that’s surprising enough for me. Compared to other four novels which have some similarities, this novel has a bit difference. In other four novels, we wouldn’t know the real ‘bad guy’ till the end of the story and usually the ‘bad guy’ holds a very high position. While in The Lost Symbol, Dan Brown has revealed the ‘bad guy’ in the middle of the story. So, what is the next Dan Brown’s novel???

How do you describe home?
For me,
Home is the only place where you feel peace..
It’s the place where you could feel that everything’s gonna be alright…
And also, it’s the only place where I can take a nap very tightly…
I’m home now, where my family and my friends belong…
And with them, I feel peace and sure that everything will be alright..
All is well here…

Air Mahakam….

“Sekali minum air mahakam, pasti akan kembali lagi kesini (read : Samarinda)”, said someone to me, a year ago. I just laughed. But, a year after then, which is now, here I am, back and posted as a permanent staff in Samarinda. All of us posted here were the ones who have ever had OJT and PA in Samarinda, too. Funny, isn’t it? Mungkin keajaiban air Sungai Mahakam memang benar adanya, hahaha…

P.S : I miss Bandung, very much. The city, the foods, the places, and all people in it that I’ve shared my happy and memorable time with.
